How we treat your information.
Short version: TSIM collects as little as possible, holds it carefully, and never sells or shares it for marketing. The longer version is below — plain-language first, formal language after.
Plain-language version.
If you subscribe to the dispatch, we keep your email address and the fact that you said yes. That's it. We use privacy-respecting providers consistent with the data practices described below to deliver the dispatch. We do not track you across the web. We do not place advertising or marketing cookies. You can leave any time, and your record is deleted on request.
If you write to us, your email is treated as a private message. We don't add it to a marketing list. We don't share it.
If you visit the site without subscribing, we don't know who you are, and we'd like to keep it that way.
Formal version.
1. What we collect
Newsletter subscribers: email address, subscription timestamp, explicit consent record, and IP address at the moment of signup (for fraud protection only).
Direct correspondence: the contents of any email you send to tsim.com@pm.me, along with the metadata of that email.
Server logs: minimal access logs (request path, timestamp, user agent, response code) for security and operational purposes. No personal identifiers are stored.
2. Legal basis
For EU/UK visitors: we rely on explicit consent as our legal basis for processing subscription data under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Consent is captured via a checkbox at the point of signup and recorded with timestamp.
3. How we store it
Subscriber data is stored within Ghost, our publication platform, using privacy-respecting providers consistent with the data practices described above. Backups are encrypted at rest and retained for no longer than necessary. Email correspondence is held in our private mail account at tsim.com@pm.me.
4. What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third-party marketers.
- We do not run advertising or remarketing cookies.
- We do not embed third-party trackers (no Facebook pixel, no GA, no LinkedIn tag).
- We do not enrich your record with data scraped from elsewhere.
5. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data we hold about you at any time. Write to tsim.com@pm.me and we will respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents have the additional right to lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects you materially, we will notify subscribers via the dispatch before the change takes effect. The current version is always at this URL.
