Rumination Elimination Station
A lab for taking thoughts apart in public.
Rumination is the brain's way of running a problem in a loop without solving it. This page is a lab for naming the loop, walking it through four sections, and putting it down. The thoughts are mine. The structure is the point.
Four sections, every time.
Each case file follows the same shape — partly so I can keep myself honest, partly so you have a portable structure to use on your own loops.
Raw
What I'm actually thinking
The unfiltered thought, written down without softening.
First pass
The story I'm telling myself
The narrative layer the brain has wrapped around the raw thought. Usually older than the thought itself.
Lens
A more honest reading
The reframe — not positive thinking, not denial. A reading that holds the discomfort and the proportion at the same time.
For you
What you might do with this
One small, portable takeaway you can try in your own life. Optional. Never prescriptive.
The case files
The first case files are being written. Check back soon, or subscribe to the dispatch to hear when they land.
